Raingutter Regatta
The boys participated in our Cub Scout's Raingutter Regatta a few weeks ago. They loved making their boats and then racing them. I love the boys that they get to participate with -they are a terrific examples and a great group of boys. I feel luck to live here and know so many of the good people that live near us!
Snow snow go away
I've decided that I'm ready to be done with snow. I love it but I've had my fill. Last week we had a really heavy snow fall and this was the result to our trees.
Thankfully, they have righted themselves again and we didn't loose any branches with the weight of the snow. The kids and I had a fun snow-day and Daddy even got to come home from work early.

Our Andy lost a tooth this week. It was his 11th tooth and he was so excited about it. He wrote the most hysterical note to the tooth fairy - and the tooth fairy wrote back. He is out math boy. He can't get enough math. To the tooth fairy he wrote "Dear Tooth-fairy, Can I please have a gold coin instead of a dollar. Then as a salutation..."Want to try some math?" and included10 math problems --with their answers on the back.
We were all stunned when the tooth-fairy wrote back in teeny-tiny print. "Andrew, I love math! It makes the world go around. Great work on the multiplication. I gave my last gold coin to a boy in Kentucky who lost two teeth today. I will pack extras next time. Keep brushing your teeth. Gotta go now, a girl in Angola just fell asleep. Love the Tooth Fairy. P.S. Can you do 100X100? And, the smart tooth fairy had completed all the math problems.
This morning Andy was up before 6am and wrote back to the Tooth-fairy. He cut her response out of the original note and has added this subscript: The answer to 100X100=10,000 "If I lost all of my teeth will I still get to see you? Because, I want to still write to you and do math. Please try 200X200.
We'll have to see if the tooth fairy comes back.
What a crack up!

| We moved the dinning room and family rooms around to provide more room for our family for mealtime. The bike was close to Lily's place for dinner and she spotted it quickly. |

Connor's birthday
Connor had a fascination with volcano's at the time of his birthday so we created this volcano cake to help him celebrate. He is a big 9 year old in this New Year's eve photo. What a cutie.....
Their ours
Yesterday was a big day. Jeff and Jennifer surrendered the children to us. Their had been a termination trial scheduled but in the end they chose to do a surrender rather than go through the trial. It was definitely a selfless thing to do to free the children to move on rather than stay in limbo. I always admire those that are able to be selfless. I hope they can take this terrible tragedy and turn it into something positive. The courtroom and court experience was terribly difficult and I feel for them. At the end of signing 32 documents the judge was very kind to us and said "Thank you for being willing to adopt these 4 children." He also praised Jeff and Jennifer and their decision to help the children be in a good place.
Jeffery Holland once said
How blessed I feel! I stand in awe of the Lord's plan for each of us and how his works are brought to pass.
Jeffery Holland once said
I hope they can find mercy and healing thru the atonement and am so grateful for the gift I have been given.Surely the thing God enjoys most about being God is the thrill of being merciful, especially to those who don’t expect it and often feel they don’t deserve it.
How blessed I feel! I stand in awe of the Lord's plan for each of us and how his works are brought to pass.
