Dunk tank

 Our neighbor's son graduated from high school this year.  Yesterday their family had a graduation party.  The favorite event of the party for my children was the dunk tank.  (That and the soda and cake.)  The kids had a great time dunking each other and Benjamin went to bed requesting a dunk tank for his next birthday.  (In December??? really???)

Tornado

Who would have thought that we would have a tornado here in Upstate NY.  We did -- last Tuesday and it took out our tree by the sandbox.  Here are a few pictures.  It also took out our some of our garden.  I'm hopeful that most of the potatoes survive.

Adirondack Animal Park

Alec had a dentist appointment in Albany this week.  Joseph took the day off work and we took all the kids to the zoo.  The kids had a ball.  Here were our favorite photos from the day's adventure.

The zoo had a safari ride and this was Liver Lips' friend approaching the kids on the ride.  They were hoping for a juicy kiss.

 The petting zoo portion was one of our favorites.

Ben's lost tooth

Benjamin lost his first tooth Sunday July 6th.  He was so excited and even got a visit from the tooth fairy.  The tooth fairy brought a gold one dollar coin which he was hoping for.  To celebrate he called all his grandparents and Grandpa Dave.  He's such a cutie!

Lily's bedroom

I've been working on Lily's bedroom.  We wall papered one wall with pink polka-dots and put up a boarder.  I still have some of the detailed painting to do but it is coming together nicely -  and she likes having a girly room.

Kindergarten Graduation

It seems like just a few weeks ago I was putting Benjamin on the bus for his first day of Kindergarten.  I can't believe it but we had Kindergarten Graduation already.  We are so proud of Ben and all the progress he has made this year.  Special thanks to Miss. Fluery and Mrs. Walsh.

Erie Canal raft

For cub scouts the boys built a raft out of milk jugs and used it to do a service project on the Eric Canal.  Amazingly the raft stayed afloat.  The boys had a great time!

Speech Therapist

When summer arrived we no longer became eligible for speech therapy through Park Hill Pre-School.  We sure miss Mrs. Claire and all that she did for our little chatter-er.

Strawberries

We have gobbled up so many flavorful strawberries this year.  Everything not used in smoothies or given to friends and families made it to my freezer to be eaten during the cold winter months.  Feeling so grateful for the abundance of our fruit bearing plants!
