the Chase

We were downloading our video's from the flip and I had to share this one. It is older as it was filmed in December, but it is so typical of what happens when Daddy get's home from work. The chase ensues. Daddy and Ben go round and round the natural circle from the kitchen thru the family room into the living room thru the entryway and dinning room and back again. It's hilarious because there is always a lot of pitter patter, calls of "catch me Daddy" and healthy dose of squealing.
This little kido cracks us up!

Winter fun

We went sledding yesterday at a hill in Chittenango. I was amazed at how fearless Benjamin is. He went down the hill like a pro and even went to the biggest hill (reserved for teenagers) and went down it no problem. As we were leaving he saw a snow boarder and said "I want to do that!" Daddy's comment was, "I know, and it's going to cost me 2 lift tickets and a lot of Saturdays."

Our neighbors had the town leave them a mound of dirt and gravel earlier this spring that they thought they would use in their landscaping. Instead it is frozen solid and we have been using it as a mini sled hill. It's nicer this year in that Benjamin will go sledding etc. He still doesn't love the cold. But we manage to have a good time outside.

Daddy and Ben hollowed out this igloo that our neighbors started. In fact it was the catalyst for my idea to take the snow-blower to our back yard. I made a circle and blew all the snow into a pile on top of and around the picnic table. Now Ben climbs up on the table and can slide down the other side. It's not a long track but we've had fun.

Dentist

A few weeks ago Ben and I went to the Duck pond. Benjamin was walking with his hands in his pockets and fell flat on his face. It was a little traumatic for all of us. Unfortunately we noticed that his front left tooth has started to discolor so I quickly found a dentist to visit to get an opinion about the matter. Dr. Greenway was fabulous. He sat Ben down in the chair and pulled out some of his instruments. He took the air tool and blew up this balloon and tied it into a dog. Ben was memorized and an immediate fan. (So was mommy!)
The tooth -- well it unfortunately died. It will stay until his primary teeth come in. Oh well, he's still the cutest kid around! (even thought he wouldn't cooperate for pictures that day)

New Cupboards

Joseph finished our kitchen dishwasher/cabinet project last night. I love having some deep pull-out drawers next to the dishwasher. Don't they look nice? Of course my favorite subject is the little turbo sitting on the counter in the pictures above. Check out the cheesy grin!

New Years Eve Party

On New Years Eve we had Benjamin's three cousins spend the night. We went to a local bounce house during the day, where they had lots of fun and then were going to take them out to pizza in the evening. We polled the children before leaving and they wanted to stay home. So we made pizza, had milk shakes, baths, stories and were in bed by 9 (the adults by 10:30). Not a bad way to ring in the new year.

One horse open sleigh

A few days after Christmas some of Benjamin's preschool class went on a sleigh ride. It was a ball. The day was nice and sunny and just right for a two horse open sleigh. I love his preschool class. The parents are lovely and Ben so enjoys the interaction with the kids.

Dragon

Yesterday we had lunch with Bob the Builder. He likes corn dogs with ranch dressing and pineapple. Benjamin the friendly dragon came for a visit too (emphasis on friendly.) Whenever Mommy get's scared that there is a dragon in the house Ben quickly reminds me that he's friendly.
