I bought Ben some cheap roller skates this weekend at a church rummage sale on our way to the farm. I thought that maybe I could put some black shoe polish on them and be in business. Ben has a pair of roller-blades and isn't able to use them though he loves to try. I thought that maybe having these would help him get it. He of course loved them and was surprisingly nimble. He fell a bit, would act surprised and then would jump back up and motor somewhere else.
Check out his outfit. A friend at church bought it for her grandson but it was to small. She gave it to us today. It is way to big for Ben, but he insisted on wearing it and pulled it out of my church bag. The shorts are practically pants. Joseph thought that something about this reminded him of the early 70's. Ha!
That little guy is growing up so fast! Rollerskating already? Sheesh! Where does the time go! What a cute pose crossing his little legs and leaning for that photo!

ReplyDeleteOk, now, really? why not just buy the kid a car? screw the roller skates and go for the 4 tires...save some money and teenage drama in between. haha
