Lots of things to blog about

Kenneth and Heidi and their family arrived yesterday. It is so nice to have them here. The kids love playing together. This is Emma and Benjamin on our back porch with the magnets. We are so lucky to have kids that love playing together. Cousins rock!
This is Grant. We call him Grant-man. He loved the trampoline.

And who would have guessed that his mother (Heidi) was so talented? I can't do a flip!

After lots of outdoor play the kiddos came for some tv time. Jason and Rachel and Grace are coming in tomorrow. We will head to the farm tomorrow. The one down side is that Karen and her family can't be here. Her children are so well behaved and tons of fun. They are having end of year testing and band concerts etc. We will so miss them. How grateful I am for a close family.

This pretty little lady is our neighbor. She went to her junior prom this weekend. I couldn't help but wish that these kids stayed little longer. Ben loves these neighbors. They are very kind to us.

Love is.....

I got my wedding ring back this week. I had the diamond remounted with 4 prongs instead of 6. I really like it better. I think it shows off the oval well.

I will say that I love the man that gave me that ring more each day. Joseph is a great husband and terrific partner. I feel so blessed to be married to him. He has made it possible to live the life I’ve imagined.......

Kids Define Love ...(thought this was cute)

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth." Billy - age 4

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." Terri - age 4

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK." Danny - age 7

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss" Emily - age 8

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love." Rebecca- age 8

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate," Nikka - age 6

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday." Noelle - age 7

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well." Tommy - age 6

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day." Mary Ann - age 4

The Easter Bunny Came

The Easter Bunny found our house. Benjamin in convinced that the Bunny is one of our neighbors in a big costume. He wanted to look out the window Easter eve.

This was the result of some unsupervised time with the chocolate bunny in the basket. Love it!

Easter Shopping

I couldn't resist; in this picture Benjamin is perusing the adds for his Easter request. He is hilarious with the toy circular.

Unfortunately, last night we were planting the garden and Joseph and I in and out of the garage. Benjamin was back and forth too. After planting the last of the carrots, I found Ben in the garage on the back steps with his Alphie toy. He had found the Easter bunny's stash and was delighted. I was a little disappointed as I wanted see his face Easter morning. I might run to the store today and find something else to put in the Easter basket. (Don't tell Joseph)

Spring Fort

This is Benjamin peering out from his most recent fort. The weather has been so cold and rainy that we've still had very little time out on the trampoline or in the backyard at all. We have been lucky though for spring break this week Benjamin's cousins and friend Jared visited. See attached pictures of the fun.

I like this picture as Issac is peering out the screen door.

My latest acquisitions

My lovely sister sent me my favorite quote framed for my birthday. I thought it was so kind. It found a home in the new green bedroom inside another frame. I love it.
We found this bed frame on craigslist. When we moved from Nampa, the bedroom set we had wouldn't fit on the truck. In-fact only the queen mattress made it. We have had the mattress on the floor but after finding this bed frame for $25 and some black spray paint we have a new look in the upstairs bedroom.
