We got to go to BYU after a tour of the MTC.  Go Cougs!

The hands down highlight of 2017 was our family reunion held in Nauvoo Illinois.  We loved our time spent there and the people that we got to spend our time with!

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

For family home evening the other night Joseph was in charge of treats.  He always feels bad about asking me to make cookies so he went and bought some yummy cookies at Tops.  They were sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles.  There were 10 cookies in the package.  After we ate them the kids filed out of the dining room and Joseph, Ben and I were left still in the dining room,  staring at the 3 remaining cookies.
Joseph sensed what was on Ben's mind as we were the 3 left in the kitchen with 3 cookies and said to Ben "Are you thinking what I am thinking?"
Ben followed it by saying, "That depends on what you are thinking."
Joseph looked at me to see if I had caught on.....(I was simply watching it unfold) and responded, "we would probably get in trouble." referring to the four that had departed to get their pajamas on, "we would be busted for sure!"
Ben's response was a simple..."Then you're not thinking what I am thinking!"

Catch up post

When we lived on Peck Rd. there was a neighbor across the road that had 4 boys.  The Ceseraini's are great people.  I always would comment on the number of boys in their driveway and Karen would respond 'Just you wait".  This particular afternoon I felt like them as I saw this great group of boys all playing ball.

Everyone came home for hay-cation 2018.  It was so nice to see all of my siblings and the kiddos that could join us.

One of the highlights of 2018 was traveling to Idaho to visit LaVar and Lois.  This was celebrating LaVar's 85th birthday.

In our travels to Idaho we stopped at Shoshone Falls.  The falls were beautiful and the kids loved the excursion.

Ben loved the Pioneer Day Parade in Lewiston UT.  He found this toy that made lots of noise with bottle caps or cap gun caps.

Gems from years past

I found some gems from many years ago that I didn't want to ever forget......

Benjamin is becoming a master at walkie talkie language...He and Daddy use all the right verbage; i.e. "Do you copy?, 10-4 good buddy, over and out." It's pretty cute to listen to. Ben got iron man walkie talkies for Christmas and he'll periodically pull them out.

A couple of funny things to blog about. Emma was here this week. She spent the night on Thursday. We noticed that her fingernails needed to be clipped. Joseph scooped her up and proceeded to take care of that. Ben was playing with legos on the ottoman near by and said to Emma; "Sorry 'bout your bad luck." It was all I could do to maintain composure. Joseph and I both had a good laugh about it.

For his pinewood derby car Benjamin decided to do a camper.  It was the model of our camper.  Too bad it wasn't the fastest car.  It was the nicest looking one though!

What a difference a year makes!

What a difference a year makes.  We have moved and are busy fixing up our Fixer-Upper into our dream home.  Here are some before pictures of the front back and barn.  We love the house especially it's location.  It is quiet and private and we love the break from the bustle of a subdivision and busy road where we hear trucks all day and night.  We can even sleep with our bedroom window open.  Our former bishop owns the adjacent property and it will always be farmland.  This is a little slice of heaven!
